2009 Malaysia Inter-State Chess Championship@25 - 27 December 2009

Dear chess friends,

The "Universal Chinese Sports Malaysia Closed Chess Championship" has been renamed as "2009 Malaysia Inter-State Chess Championship". Attached herewith revised Rules and regulations for your information and necessary action please.

We hope you could spread the news to other chess friends. Particularly for those who have websites, blogs or chess columns in newspapers, we hope you could help to publish them.

The main terms and conditions of the event are:

a)2-in-1 event consisting of individual and inter-state prizes as follows:

Inter-State:
Champion:RM2000 + Trophy
Runner Up:RM1500 + Trophy
3rd:RM1000 + Trophy
4th:RM500 + Trophy

Individual:
Champion:RM2000 + Medal
Runner Up:RM1500 + Medal
3rd:RM1000 + Medal
4th:RM500 + Medal
5th - 10th:RM200 each

b)4 State representatives will be given 3-day hotel and food.
c)For Malaysians only
d)None State reprsentatives may take part in the individual event.
e)FIDE and National rated.
f)7-round Swiss with Time control 90 minutes and 30 sec increment per move.
g)Date: 25-27 December 2009
h)Venue: Catholic High School Stadium, Lanang Road, Sibu, Sarawak
i)Entrance fee: RM50/= per head
j)State Representatives from the same state are not paired against each other.
k)State representatives should be either working, studying or born in the state.
